The amount of recorded sexual offences involving online dating sites and apps has nearly doubled in the last four years, authorities numbers recommend.
Offences where a dating internet site had been mentioned in a police report increased from 156 in 2015, to 286 this past year, relating to numbers from 23 associated with the 43 forces in England and Wales.
The internet Dating Association stated apps you will need to protect users from harm.
However the nationwide Police Chiefs’ Council stated businesses had a responsibility doing more.
The numbers reveal that between 2015 and 2018 there have been a total of 2,029 recorded offences – including sexual offences – where an online dating internet site or software had been mentioned in a police report.
In 2015, 329 offences had been recorded, when compared with 658 recorded offences a year ago. Continuez la lecture
